We’re excited to introduce Coach Alejandro Stowhas as the new head coach for our boys Varsity soccer team at Granville Jr/Sr High School! Thanks to the incredible support from our community, our soccer program is growing once again, and Coach Stowhas is ready to take us to new heights.
With a passion for coaching and a vision of rebuilding our soccer program, Coach Stowhas has already made waves since his arrival. From implementing new drills to setting high expectations, he’s transforming our training environment into one that fosters steady improvement and teamwork. His experience coaching soccer in Fort Ann, along with his family ties in Granville, makes him a perfect fit for our school.
When he’s not coaching, he’s a family man with six kids and a busy career at Great Meadow. “When I heard the soccer program was in trouble, I loved the idea of taking a program and rebuilding it from the ground up and I plan to stay for a long time,” says Stowhas. “In Ft. Ann, everyone plays soccer and everyone looks forward to soccer season. I also hope to bring a little bit of that spirit to Granville.”
Coach Stowhas isn’t just about the game—he’s dedicated to growing soccer within our community. He engaged with players during the summer and even brought his Varsity team to practice with our Youth Soccer League. His commitment to our program goes beyond the field, as seen in the Varsity Soccer team volunteering at the Granville Chamber of Commerce Annual Car Show in September.
Let’s rally behind Coach Stowhas and our student-athletes as they embark on an exciting new adventure. Go, Granville!
