I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Community School Coordinator at Granville CSD. That's me in the middle of the picture! Here I am with a group of our soccer players, parent volunteer coaches and members of the local Guatemalan Soccer League who invited our players to a weekly scrimmage this summer.
In my role, I will be working on school communications and building bridges between our school and the wider community. Whether it's making sure our families know about our district’s unique programs, connecting families with essential resources, or fostering partnerships that benefit our students, my goal is to ensure that our community is strong, connected and supported.
A little about me: I’ve spent some time getting to know our district, first as a PTO volunteer for seven years, then a soccer, softball and baseball mom and as a committee champion in the Village of Granville’s economic development program. My family has lived in Granville for 20 years, and both of my children have been enrolled in our schools since primary school. Alex and Ella will be in the Jr/Sr High this year and are surprisingly not thrilled to know that I have many new co-workers that will keep an eye on them. Professionally, I’ve worked in business communications and professional coaching for 25 years, specializing in small business with educational services.
I am excited to collaborate with each of you—teachers, parents, students, and community members—to discover new ways to strengthen our school community. Your insights, ideas, and experiences are valuable, and I look forward to listening, learning, and growing together.
To set off on the right foot, would you please consider filling out this school family survey? This will help me understand what's on your family's mind and how to help our students thrive at Granville CSD. Here is the link to the 3-minute survey.
Please also feel welcome to reach out to me at krozell@granvillecsd.org if you have questions or ideas. If you’re nervous about reaching out to an administrator, I can knock on their door for you. I can assure you that they do want to hear from you.
Let's start the school year with curiosity and hope, knowing that if we all pitch in a little, we can create a school environment where every Granville child can thrive.
Let’s go Horde!
