TenEyck

Granville Central School District is delighted to introduce Trishia Ten Eyck (pronounced “10 Ike”) as the new Principal of Granville Elementary School (GES), beginning her term on July 1st, 2024. With a contagious enthusiasm and deep roots in our region, Principal Ten Eyck demonstrates a commitment to fostering a warm and supportive environment for our students.

Ms. Ten Eyck’s journey back to Granville feels like a homecoming, having grown up in nearby Hudson Falls and taking autumn visits to Hick’s Orchard. Today, as a resident of Ft. Ann, she attends her niece and nephew’s ball games at our local Little League field and enjoys outdoor recreation in her free time.

Her connection to Granville strengthened during her teaching years in Ft. Edward, where she first crossed paths with Superintendent McGurl. A chance meeting with Ms. Talmadge in her administrator training brought more opportunities to learn from our district leaders with an intern visit to GES. She was struck by the inquisitiveness and spark of the GES students. “They were so open and friendly,” Ms. Ten Eyck recalls, “and I just knew this was the place for me.”

The new GES principal brings a strong team spirit and a passion for both academic excellence and extracurricular activities to GES. With 16 years of athletic leadership, transforming teams from struggling contenders to state qualifiers, she looks forward to building strong relationships with families, engaging with our PTO, and enriching our school community with her health and athletic education.

"I love seeing kids and families around town," Ms. Ten Eyck shares warmly, recalling moments when students greet her during her visits to Stewarts. Her genuine enthusiasm for Granville Elementary shines through as she looks forward to the Summer Success Academy (July 9 - Aug 8th at GES) and beyond, where she hopes to collaborate with students, families, and staff to nurture a sense of pride in our school and its achievements.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Principal Ten Eyck. She is eager to connect with you and invites you to reach out to her at tteneyck@granvillecsd.org or at (518) 642-1051 ext. 3203. Together, let's embark on an exciting new chapter at Granville Elementary School!
